Fiesta Dress Redo

Fiesta Dress Redo

Fiesta is underway here in San Antonio and it's all about colors that pop. With nearly two weeks of parties and parades, having something fun to wear is a must. The thrift store is my first stop when I'm looking for a new dress, and I immediately fell in love with the print and colors in this muumuu--but the fit was awful. I'm no expert seamstress, but I know my way around a sewing machine well enough to work on this fun Fiesta dress redo.

I like to keep my sewing simple, so all I did was chop down the sleeves and cut out a section in the bottom to shorten the length (and keep the cute border at the bottom). I pinned the top and bottom pieces back together, stitched them up, and then rolled the remaing sleeve fabric under and hemmed them for a sleeveless look.
