Jumping into homeschooling this year has included a lot of poking around online for ideas and inspiration. I've bookmarked, pinned, and probably ordered way too much from Amazon. There are a couple of finds that I'm over the moon about, though, and thought I'd share with you.
First off is A Simple Homeschool Planner by Tsh Oxenreider of Simple Mom. Tsh is a virtual mentor mama of mine (although she has no idea who I am). Her blog has been a huge inspiration to me--she has such a down-to-earth, thoughtful, yet simple way of looking at life. I feel refreshed and confident whenever I read her blog, and feel the same about planning out my homeschool year with her simple yet awesome planner. It's a $4 downloadable pdf with tons of pages to pick and choose from to build your planner. I'm working on getting mine all fancified and hope to share more with you soon.
HP's Envy 120 printer and copier. (I never thought I'd be writing about a printer here!) It was a bit on the expensive side, but after trying it out at home, it's definitely worth it. I'm a sucker for design and features, and this guy has them both. The paper tray is housed inside the printer (no more little fingers sneaking off with all the printer paper), you can print wirelessly from your computer and your devices, and there are a ton of awesome apps that offer printables (hello educational worksheets and coupons) right on the printer screen--no computer needed!
There are lots of other great resources I've gathered over on my Pinterest board, The Learning Curve (including this handmade times table wall hanging and perfect apps to supplement homeschooling). And I'd love to hear about your favorite finds, school related or not. What's making your life simpler these days?
