I started scrapbooking right after my oldest son, Skyler, who's now 10, was born. I'd go to the scrapbook store and pick out tons of cutesy papers and stickers, not to mention countless thingamajigs to put it all together with. And I must have spent a small fortune on every kind of archival-safe adhesive. I even rolled my supplies around in a suitcase and went to scrap nights y'all. I wish I could rip the stickers out of half those pages. I know I'm not the only guilty party here.
I kept up with the scrapbooks for a while, but as more little ones came along and life got busier those albums got dusty. I did make a decent attempt to even out the photo imbalance a couple Christmases ago with semi-updated albums for all the kids, but it was much simpler and not very pretty. And I did bring the albums down to a basket in our living room where we look through them regularly, but they desperately need updating.
Now here comes the good part: I can have simple and pretty with Project Life.
I've heard friends talk about Project Life for a while now, so when I was invited by the wonderfully talented photographer Candice Stringham for a PL party sponsored by founder Becky Higgins herself, I was all in!
Candice lined up photo prints from Persnickety Prints (I love my 4x4 Instagram prints above), along with a full Project Life album and kit for each guest, and she prepared the most gorgeous set up for the party. I just wanted to drool over her handmade decorations (and her house). You can catch a full glimpse of her party-prepping skills over on her blog, Candice Stringham Photography.
I'm still putting my album together. But this time there's no cutting and pasting involved. And I have more than plenty slips of pretty paper to choose from. It'll be pretty hard to mess this one up.
Are you a scrapper? Do you have a tried and true method for keeping up with all those photos? I'd love to hear it!
P.S. You can pick up your own Project Life supplies on Amazon with my affiliate links. I chose the Classic Faux Leather album in Rain and the Jade Core Kit.
