Make the Holidays Merrier with VarageSale

This post is sponsored by VarageSale

Y'all, the holidays are upon us. In past years I'd be in a flurry of stress getting everyone's wish lists together and our family budget in order. This year, I already know it's going to be a much simpler holiday season--it's my first year celebrating with my kids as a single mother and there won't be a lot of extra money for everything we usually do. That's where the amazing app, VarageSale comes in. Inspired by the KonMari method, I've cleaned out my closet and am selling half my wardrobe on the app to help earn some extra money to buy gifts for my kids this year. Check out my video to see my decluttering in action, how easy the app is to use, and a peek inside my home!

The Maker View Podcast | Episode 6 Reuse Pro and Filmmaker Alex Eaves

Today I'm thrilled to be sharing my interview with Reuse Pro Alex Eaves. Alex began his own apparel company after touring in the promotional world with bands like Green Day and Blink 182. After seeing how many perfectly good t-shirts were thrown out in the apparel industry he dedicated himself to the reuse movement in both his business and his personal life. Alex turned his apparel company, Stay Vocal, into a Green America certified ReUse apparel company where he rescues t-Shirts and gives them a second life with new design, and now he's wrapped up production of the new documentary REUSE! Because You Can't Recycle the Planet. Tune in for more about Alex's story and mission, and check out the preview for his film below.

DIY Recycled Soap Dispenser

I love a good and simple reuse idea. I enjoy a lot of glass bottled drinks (Topo Chico, Mexican Coke), so when I found these inexpensive bottle pour spouts at the Container Store, I just had to put some of my bottles to good reuse.
