About

Hi. I'm Amy, a Catholic firefighter's wife, and mama of four living in San Antonio, Texas. I've always considered myself a creative (one of my earliest crafty memories was making cherry blossom pictures with tissue paper), and making in one form or another has been my life's passion.

After working as a program director for a literary arts non-profit (and organizing creative writing classes and poetry readings), I ventured into life as a stay-at-home mom, and that's when the fun really began.

I started this little blog in 2009, and have built it from the ground up with my own two hands. Here at Maker Mama you'll find an ever growing source of crafty projects, musings on motherhood, green living love, and my favorite finds plucked from the awesome world of online creatives--and the thrift store.

My hopes in sharing this little space with you is that you find your own creative spark, and leave ready to make something awesome. If you're new to Maker Mama, you might want to start here:
