"It's a real mystery."

I’m not one for big retail stores, but I do love thrifty finds and there are some great sales in S.A. this month!
This weekend (through Sunday) there’s the Friends of the San Antonio Public Library Tent Sale in the BookCellar at Central Library. The BookCellar is already pretty cheap–this would be a great place to pick up some summer reading!
Tomorrow, the children’s consignment store Once Upon a Child is having it’s one-year anniversary sale. All used items are 20% off all day, and select items are discounted progressively throughout the day. I might be able to make it out tomorrow–it’s my favorite consignment shop and they have a frequent buyer discount card, too.
Another sale that I’ll probably end up missing is Just Between Friends at the Norris Conference Center at Crossroads Mall. This is a huge kids consignment sale where consignors from across the city bring their kids items to sell in a warehouse-size locale.
My sister-in-law used to shop for my kiddos at the seasonal sale up in Tulsa, but when it came to San Antonio I hopped on board. It’s also a great place to sell your own kids items–you write your own prices and make up to 70% of your total sales–I made $300 my first time! Unfortunately the sale is July 30 & 31, right around my due date and I don’t think I’ll be up to any big shopping around then.
Let me know if you make it out to any of these thrifty shopping events–I’d love to know what you find!
