I found this set of eight octagonal dessert and dinner plates all in great condition. I guess they’re ceramic, so they’re pretty lightweight.
On the back I noticed “France” faintly imprinted on all the dishes. So, this is my classy French party ware. Très chic.
I was looking for more than just a set of eight, so I picked up some mix-matched dinner and desert plates, for a grand total of 23 dinner plates and 25 dessert plates. My husband seemed to think it was a little much, but our parties can get pretty big–I’m hoping they’ll be enough! This stack is all the same brand, Corelle by Corning; here’s a closer look:
The black and white ones seemed a little art-deco-ish.
(I would love these matching coffee mugs for these plates.)
(There’s a matching sugar and creamer for this one on Etsy, too.)
I also found a couple bowls that matched the black and pale green trim on these. Now if only I could find some more bowls. And then a bunch of coffee cups. And maybe some extra silverware.
I lucked out and found all of these at one Goodwill just outside of town (you should have seen me digging through all their dishes!). So I can check reusable party ware of my summer wish list. How do you keep party expenses down? Found any cool thrifty treasures lately?
