Stacy of Kids Stuff World and I had the opportunity to throw the first SA Crafty Kids party over the weekend with a 4th of July theme, putting our crafty skills together and rounding up some of our favorite local bloggers for an afternoon of celebration. I went all out with decorating the house and wanted to give you a peek at our day…
I rounded up some of my favorite American authors in the living room (along with the 4th of July bunting pictured above), and a globe with the US facing out.
The refreshment table was decked out with items gathered from around the house: vintage spools, wooden blocks, mason jars, red white and blue yarn balls, and my suitcases had to make an appearance, too, of course!
Stacy and I were dashing around like crazy ladies getting everything ready, but we had a blast doing it all–parties are so much easier (and enjoyable) when you’re throwing it with a friend (and Stacy is one of the sweetest!).
And most importantly the kids all had fun–I think we had close to 20 all together! It’s such a blessing to be able to gather with friends in celebrating our country and all of our freedoms. I have been truly blessed with my family, my home (no matter how messy it is at times), and my growing community of friends here in San Antonio–and of course, all of my awesome readers here at Maker Mama!
Thank you all for your support in my pursuit of a creative, meaningful life. I hope that I can inspire you all and I am certainly inspired by all of you!
Hope your 4th of July is full of friends, family, and an appreciation for all the blessings in your life!
