Halloween has come and gone! Here are a few photos from our shenanigans. How was your weekend?? I revamped my paper plate angel wings for my costume this year (and of course didn’t get any other good pictures of me in them!).

Because Halloween oftentimes turns into a month-long celebration, we actually went trunk-or-treating at our local Y the weekend before. I didn’t have all the handmade costumes together, but we  improvised and went anyway! We painted Liam and Eleanor’s faces in the traditional Día de los Muertos fashion. Amelia wore Skyler’s old Hobbes costume (you can see our original Calvin and Hobbes duo here). And Skyler made his own Flappy Bird zombie costume. Poor guy got frustrated that everyone kept asking if he was a Box Troll and ended up nixing it for the 31st.

We spent Halloween night trick or treating with friends. The kids’ final costumes included a witch, stop sign, white board (which got a little awkward, but was all Eleanor’s awesome idea), and a character on crutches from Percy Jackson–everyone thought Skyler was really hurt and he probably got more candy as a result.
We ended the weekend at local non-profit SAY Sí‘s Muertitos Fest where Skyler had his first piece of artwork on display! I’m super-proud and totally bought it–can’t wait to find a place for it at home!
How was your weekend? What are you doing with all that candy? I’m trying not to eat too much of it myself!
